General Electric Co. GE Last Trading Session 15.44

General Electric Co.’s local aviation division has landed an $85.7 million maintenance contract with the U.S. Department of Defense.

GE’s Lynn, Mass.-based division will repair and replace T700 engine components used on the Navy’s H-60 Blackhawk helicopter and AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter. Work on the contract also will be performed in Arkansas City, Kan., and is expected to be completed by September 2014.
